You will propose the content, structure, and overall design of your web portfolio in a 3-5 page memo to me. You should include discussions of what you will include in your web portfolio (essays and contextualizing pages), a comparison of two or more related sites, a site map or storyboard of the site architecture, and a sketch or description of your interface. You should include justifications for each design choice. Your proposal must not be longer than 5 single-spaced pages and should use memo style effectively.

electronic portfolio

due: 2 May 2006

The capstone project for this course, you will create a web portfolio of your work for this class and some outside of this class (5 pieces total), including a home page, contextualizing description pages for each piece that you include, and an effective interface that holds the navigation and content together. You will turn the portfolio in on CD or via link through email.


due: weekly

Each week, you will complete a quiz on the readings in syllabase. Quizzes will contain multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer questions.
