Anyone who works in an organizational context for any length of time will quickly realize that virtual teams, with workers distributed over time and space, are fast becoming a common—if not the default—mode of collaboration. In this course, we will investigate distributed work, review the literature for best practices and skill sets for managing and working as members of virtual teams, and evaluate communication technologies that mediate team-based work.
